Overview

Moreno Design Construction Company is one of the top 10 construction companies in Vancouver, which is known for its high-quality construction and timely delivery. The aim of this UX case study is to improve the company's website to provide a seamless user experience to its potential and existing customers. The website will include all the necessary information about the company's services, completed projects, and contact details. The goal is to create a user-friendly website that will help Moreno Design Construction Company to increase it's business and revenue.

Product

The product is a website for Moreno Design construction Company. The website will contain information about the company, its services, completed projects, and contact details. Users will be able to view the website on different devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Project Duration

The project will take two months to complete.

The Problem

Moreno Design construction Company's existing website is not user-friendly, which makes it difficult for users to find the information they are looking for. The website is outdated, lacks visual appeal, and is not optimized for different devices. Users find it challenging to navigate, and the website does not provide a seamless user experience. As a result, potential customers are leaving the website without making any inquiries or requests.

The Goal

The goal of this UX case study is to redesign Moreno Design construction Company's website to create a user-friendly and visually appealing interface that will provide a seamless user experience. The aim is to increase the company's business and revenue by providing potential and existing customers with easy access to information and services.

Agency Role

As an agency, our role in this project is to provide Moreno Design construction Company with a comprehensive solution that includes UX design, development, and lead generation software powered by Sideio. We aim to deliver a website that reflects the company's brand image and values while providing an outstanding user experience.

Agency Responsibility

Our responsibilities include conducting user research, creating user personas, designing user flows, creating wireframes and mockups, developing the website, testing the website's usability, and implementing lead generation software powered by Sideio. The agency team consists of a UX designer, a developer, a CMO, and a team lead.

Understanding the User

User Research

To understand the user, we conducted user research using the following UX metrics:

Interviews: Conducted interviews with potential and existing customers to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points.

Surveys: Conducted surveys to gather feedback on the current website's usability and design.

Competitor Analysis: Analyzed the websites of Moreno Design construction Company's competitors to identify best practices and design trends.

Pain Point

The pain point that users were facing was the website's poor design, outdated information, and difficulty in navigating the website.

Personas

Based on the user research, we created two user personas to represent the website's primary user groups:

John: A 35-year-old contractor who is looking for reliable and affordable construction services for his clients.

Mary: A 28-year-old homeowner who is looking for a construction company to renovate her kitchen.

Problem Statements and Details User Journey Map or User Flow and UX Structure

Based on the user research and personas, we created the following problem statements:

Users find it difficult to locate information about the company's services and completed projects.

Users find it challenging to navigate the website due to its poor design and usability.

The website is not optimized for different devices

Summary

The user research revealed that users were frustrated with the current website's design and usability. They found it difficult to navigate and locate the information they were looking for. They also felt that the website was outdated and did not reflect the company's brand image.
